Community Guidelines
KARD is a place for people who love cards. These guidelines say what is welcome, what is not, and what happens when someone breaks the rules. They are part of the Terms of Use.
Zero tolerance. Content or behavior that is abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening, exploits or endangers minors, promotes violence or self-harm, or is illegal is removed, and the account behind it may be suspended or closed straight away.
What we expect
- Be kind. Disagree about a grade or a price without attacking the person.
- Be honest about your cards, your listings and who you are.
- Share your own photos and words, or credit and have the right to use what you post.
- Keep trades and sales on KARD, where both sides are protected.
What is not allowed
- Harassment and hate: bullying, threats, doxxing, or attacking people for who they are, including race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or national origin.
- Sexual or violent content: nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, and anything that sexualizes or endangers a minor. Cards that show artwork from the game or sport they come from are fine.
- Illegal activity: anything unlawful, including selling stolen goods or items you do not have the right to sell.
- Counterfeits and fakes: selling or promoting counterfeit, altered, reprinted or misrepresented cards. A counterfeit finding can lead to a permanent ban.
- Scams and manipulation: fake listings, shill bids or likes, fake reviews, phishing, asking for payment outside KARD (for example Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal friends and family, or crypto wallets), and trading accounts or likes for money.
- Spam: repeated, off-topic or automated posts, comments or likes, and using more than one account to get around limits.
- Privacy violations: sharing someone's private information, or screenshots of private messages, without their consent.
- Infringement: content that infringes someone's copyright or trademark. See Copyright and DMCA.
- Misuse of KARD: trying to break, probe or overload KARD, or to get around its security, limits, bans or fees.
Reporting and blocking
- Every post, comment, listing and member has a menu with Report and Block.
- Blocking someone hides their content from you and yours from them, and stops messages and trades between you. You can unblock in Settings.
- Reports are private. We never tell a member who reported them.
- For anything urgent, or if you are in danger, contact your local emergency services first.
How we enforce these guidelines
- Screening: posts, comments, photos, avatars and messages are screened automatically before or soon after they appear. Content that is clearly harmful is blocked; borderline content is queued for a person to review.
- Reports: a post that three different members report is hidden while we review it. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.
- Strikes: a confirmed violation removes the content and adds a strike to the account. The third strike suspends the account. Serious violations can lead to immediate suspension or a permanent ban without earlier strikes.
- Marketplace: orders can be cancelled and funds held or refunded when a member breaks marketplace rules. See the Marketplace Rules.
- Spent KARD is not refunded when content is removed.
- Law enforcement: we report illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, to the authorities and cooperate with valid legal requests.
If you think we got it wrong
If your content was removed or your account was struck or suspended and you think that was a mistake, tell us through the contact form and include what you want us to look at. We will take another look.
